About Blueberry Heights Farm
Blueberry Heights is a small farm in Limpopo growing delicious, healthy blueberries in harmony with nature. We are an organically certified producer (Ecocert, "ZA-Bio-154") of export quality fresh and frozen blueberries. Our orchards are located on Goedehoop Farm just outside Haenertsburg and about 30 km from Tzaneen.
Blueberries were first cultivated on the farm in 1995 and are grown to strict organic standards. This means that no industrial fertilisers are used and the farm makes use of natural composting and vermiculture techniques to improve the vitality of the blueberry bushes.
Blueberries are a superfood very high in antioxidants and proven to have numerous health benefits. They have been shown to have cancer fighting properties, strengthen blood vessels, enhance eyesight, improve memory and promote better brain and nerve functions. Not only are blueberries healthy but they are also an incredibly versatile ingredient that can add a touch of elegance to a variety of meals. They work very well in desserts, baking, salads, sauces and are great when paired with meats such as steak, pork and venison.
Recently we have launched a range of gourmet blueberry products made from our organic blueberries. These are only available at a few select stores in Limpopo and Johannesburg at this stage but we are working on getting them further afield soon. If you have any queries about the products please get in touch!
